Dubai Real Estate Institute(DREI) at Dubai Land Department (DLD)is organising a virtual conference titled ‘Return of Real Estate Markets with New Opportunities’ in cooperation with Bahrain Businessmen’s Association (BBMA). A number of experts and well-known speakers,as well as representatives from the real estate sector in both countries, will be participating in the conference that will be held on Zoom platform on Sunday and Monday 18 – 19 October 2020.
The conference seeks to strengthen cooperation between DREI and BBMA. It alsoaims to address recent changes and developments in real estate markets, in the presence and with the participation of experts and industry professionals from both countries,byutilising the latest supporting techniques, discussing challenges facing the real estate sector, and exploring future needs to formulate appropriate tools that would ensure continuous progress and prosperity of real estate markets.
Hend Al Marri, CEO of DREI, said: “Organising this real estate virtual conference comes in line with our vision, objectives, and strategies of developing and building the skills and capabilities of real estate professionals in the region.To achieve optimal success for the conference, we will gather a group of experts and speakers to present working papers and discuss the best solutions to minimise the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the real estate sector. This comes within the framework of our tireless endeavours at DREI to spread real estate knowledge in our region.”
Nasser Al Ahli, Chairman of the Real Estate Committee at BBMA, said: “This virtual conference marks our first cooperation with DREI, comprising leading experts in the real estate sector in our region. DREI’s role in developing and enhancing the knowledge of real estate professionals is recognised by everybody in the region.”
He added: “The real estate sector was not immune to the challenges faced by all the economic sectors due to the spread of COVID-19.We at BBMA found it necessary to organise such conference to discuss the most prominent challengesduring and after the pandemic to explore solutions to those threats.We are pleased to work with DREI and benefit from its programmes that are based on the highest international professional training standards. We will soon be contacting a number of real estate companies to exhibit in the conferenceas well as showcase their products and innovative solutions to raise the bar of the knowledge of real estate professionals and support existing companies to expand their businesses during these unprecedented times,comprising a first-of-its-kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Over the past two years, DREI trained more than 300 Bahraini professionals in various topics, such asbrokerage, real estate management, and valuation. Despite the circumstances of COVID-19,this conference will enhance learning and communication as well asemphasise the importance of continuous learning, especially crisis management skills in real estate, through a multitude of facts, figures, and lessonsfrom the pandemic that would be presented and discussed during the panels.
