Mohammed bin Rashid endorses Health Insurance Law in Dubai
The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has endorsed the Health Insurance Law for the Emirate of Dubai. Eng. Eisa Al Maidoor, Director General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) stressed at a press conference held today at the DHA and attended by a number of officials, the importance of the law, which will strengthen the competitive status of Dubai locally, regionally and internationally, adding that the law ensures better healthcare for Emiratis, expatriate residents and visitors. He added that the implementation of the law would provide a world class health system to beneficiaries at the public and private sectors, noting that based on the directives by Sheikh Mohammed and in line with the Dubai Strategic Plan, the DHA prepared the health insurance system for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to fund the health services in the Emirate through provision of high quality health services. Al Maidoor said the DHA would soon announce the implementation procedures of the health insurance.
