Cosumer Code of Rights
The United Arab Emirates has issued the Consumer Code of Rights. In Dubai, the Department of Economic Development (DED) is in charge of implementing the Consumer Code of Rights through its surveillance role to maintain a fair and active economic environment for consumers and retailers alike. DED has taken effective action to introduce the consumers to their rights such as the right to safety, the right to know, the right to choose, the right to redress. At the same time, DED has called upon consumers to understand and meet their obligations to have and practice the right to complain at any time.
