The Music Chamber
We are musicians and not merchants! This makes a big difference for us and the ever-growing numbers of friends and supporters. They are some 500 students at our academy, their families, musicians, music-lovers and above all, the younger ones who have made of the Music Chamber their second home. We are also different because we are a family of four members who have a passion for music. We believe in bringing people of all cultures together under one music roof, providing a safe, fertile and friendly environment for growth. The family led by Rawhi A Abeidoh, a frequent international traveller during his “former life” as a writer and journalist, has always felt that there is a big gap for quality teaching, instruments and music literature that needed to be filled. Dubai offered the perfect host being the most powerful magnet of talent in the Middle East. The Music Chamber was conceived in summer 2003 in Amman, Jordan, where twin brothers Nasser and Imad had worked as professors of music for more than 15 years. Together, they bring a wealth of academic knowledge, management and musical skills. Shortly after the Music Chamber opened its doors in December 2003, we quickly put on display the biggest variety of musical instruments, books and accessories in the Middle East. We are now acknowledged as the leading music centre in the United Arab Emirates. What is equally important is our rapid academic growth that has been built almost entirely on the good word of mouth. This valuable trust allowed us to embark on a bigger project — a proper fully-fledged institute offering private tutoring on a rich variety of musical instruments including piano, violin, guitar, percussions, wind instruments, vocalism, cello and oud. Our policy is simple: We offer diversity, quality tutoring, rigidly tested instruments at a fixed reasonable price. Development and research is one of our strongest points.
