Global Youth Empowering Movement
GYEM is a community initiative aiming to link Youth in Dubai to empower them to use their passions to serve humanity, and build a MUCH better future!. It’s an open-source online database platform, where Youth can find other like-minded Youth to work with, as well as adults, experts/professionals, NGO’s and corporations. The community can find each other based on interest/passion, cause, location, type of service project and/or date of projects. Also a GYEMcenter (Youth Community Center) at Dubai Festival City, sponsored by Festival Centre and Al Futtaim. It’s a physical platform for Youth development; equipping Youth with the tool to develop their skills, build a more connected and stronger Youth community and to better serve humanity. Our Purpose: Bring youth together to KNOW+INVESTIGATE+ACT It is important to understand the contemporary issues our planet is facing. This process is designed to facilitate participants to research facts and deepen their knowledge, and begin their journey to activate their power to make a difference in their communities. By knowing what the local and global issues are, Youth will become more aware of their surroundings. By researching concrete examples of what other Youth are doing, Youth can be inspired to do their own projects. By planning and executing their own projects, Youth will learn the importance, benefit and beauty of service, as well as have a sense of purpose and belonging. The workshop is different, fun, interactive, unique and is one that’s been carefully planned.
