We hope that the Festival will raise the prestige of the art of Circus & increase the number of circus fans or lovers. To be able to witness a competition amongst these world famous artists is always breathtaking. We do hope this is another opportunity to discover the hidden secrets of this wonderful world & value the extraordinary talent & effort of the participants. Festival Target Young Artists for Middle East is a stage international project for training young people & for innovations in the culture of the Dubai International Circus Festival is the event where people from all over World meet & break down barriers through friendly competition; it also promotes peaceful coexistence. Dubai International Circus Festival will take place every year. Challenge Dubai International Circus Festival will be create in 2010. It is a competition where, every year, artists representing all Circus disciplines. Dubai International Circus Festival will take place in February 2010 in Dubai at the Festival Tent. The aim of the Festival is to: Create a new show every year, by helping young artists coming from all over the world & Middle East, to create their acts & search a new production, a new music & new costumes. Reveal the new talents of the worldwide Circus & Shows. Bring out the new trends of production, because Circus has been developing very much for. The producers & choreographers of Cirque du Soleil, Moscow Studio, or Peking Circus prepare acts especially for the Festival. Make easier the communication between artistes & directors. Be the crossroad where traditional circus, modern circus & experimental circus of young companies are crossing each others. Take into account the recent phenomenon of the renewal of shows in variety-cabarets. Give artists of countries where the tradition of Circus arts was unknown till now, the possibility to get revealed. Thanks to the Festival, artists from Mongolia, Cuba, Korea, Vietnam, Egypt & Africa will come to the Middle East for the first time, some artists who, very often, had never left nor been away from their village nor troupe. All these aims put together make that the Festival is a very peculiar event, where the show is on the ring but also backstage. In this huge meeting mixing all nationalities, young artistes live an extraordinary adventure & participate in a competition which is often the very beginning of their career. The main objective of Dubai International Circus Festival -contest in circus arts (hereinafter called Festival) is: Popularization of the best achievements of the Circus arts in the Middle East & all over the world; promotion of the role of circus art in the harmonious upbringing of the young generation & popularization of healthy life style. The idea of the project going with the “International decade of culture & peace, without violence in the interest of the Children of planet Earth” declared by UN and UNESCO (2001 – 2010).|
