Dubai Metro has been designed to meet the following objectives: > Relieve traffic congestion > Improve air quality, environment and safety > Globalization & international competition > Meet traffic demand and population growth > Create a link between Dubai communities and enhance real estate property along the route > Integrate public transport Features of the Lines: > Single longest automatic driverless system in the world > Hours of operation: 5:00 am to 12:30 am > Maximum design speed: 110 kph > Average speed between stations: 45 kph > Red and Green interchange at underground stations at Burjuman and Union Square Features of Each Line Red Line > Approximately 52 km and 29 stations including 4 underground 24 elevated and 1 at grade. > 5 car train: this includes Gold Car with a section for Women & Children, and 4 Silver Cars. > Fully Air conditioned trains and stations. > Retail facilities at stations.
