Setting new standards of excellence, the Dubai Ladies Club offers a tranquil ambience in an exquisite location that overlooks one of the most beautiful beaches in Dubai. Members can hone their hidden skills in the Art & Talent Centre, tone their bodies in a fully equipped Fitness Centre, join a friend on the tennis and squash courts or go for a swim in the luxurious swimming pool. The Moroccan style Al Asalla Spa invites members to a world of ethereal privacy, while the Childcare Centre ensures their children are in trusted hands at all times. Initiatives In addition to offering these world-class facilities and excellent physical and spiritual care, Dubai Ladies Club has initiated several programmes that contribute to the community’s wellbeing. The ’Complete Woman’ programme launched in 2006 acknowledges the achievements of today’s women and contributes to the holistic development of their skills in diverse fields, whether social, cultural, mental, or physical. Dubai Ladies Club also introduced the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award for the second year for emerging artists in the UAE. The aim of the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award is to create a greater awareness of the UAE’s artistic heritage and to specifically promote interest in local art, both traditional and contemporary. It also seeks to recognize young UAE artists with exceptional artistic promise within their discipline and deserve extensive industry exposure. Under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Ladies Club is mandated with the task of supervising childcare centres for national working mothers in the government sector to meet the needs of working women and their children at the workplace. Community Support Keeping the community in mind, the Dubai Ladies Club patronises the UAE Down Syndrome Support Group, which celebrated its first anniversary in March 2006. Organising frequent field trips and fun day activities for the group, the Health Centre of Dubai Ladies Club is an active supporter of the needs of the physically and mentally challenged members of the society. Dubai Ladies Club not only provides its members with a place to relax, learn and socialise, it also gives an opportunity to the rest of the community to contribute towards the development of the UAE’s society, culture and heritage.Website: http://www.dubailadiesclub.com
