The Special ’K’ Challenge
We all give in to indulgences throughout the year, and only when the summer rays of sun threaten to expose us do we panic! Well, fear not. Now that the warmer months are here, let us help you get back into shape. See if it could work for you. The Special K Summer Confidence Challenge is a great kick-start to a healthier lifestyle! And because it’s only for 2 weeks, you always have your goal in sight and a great incentive to stick to it. Please note however, that this challenge is only recommended if you’re over 18 with a BMI of more than 25, so make sure you check yours first with our BMI Calculator. As a rule, you must try and make sure to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables plus low-fat, high-carbohydrate foods. And remember, if you’re taking medication or want to lose more than 20% of your starting weight, it’s advisable to talk to your doctor first. First, calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index), which is a calculation related to your height and weight. In order for you to take part in the challenge, your BMI should be 25 or more. Eat a serving of up to 45g of any Special K cereal with 125 ml semi-skimmed milk for breakfast. Have another serving for lunch OR dinner with a 3rd nutritionally balanced meal for 2 weeks. Ensure a regular and adequate intake of alcohol-free drinks. Replace your snacks with healthier options such as fruits, vegetables & Special K bars.
