Skydive Dubai Athletes Make Historic First in Thrilling Eid Al Etihad Display

Dubai’s iconic skyline witnessed another marvel as part of the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations. The breathtaking aerial display was delivered by a trio of wingsuit athletes from Skydive Dubai - the world-renowned skydiving destination.

At the heart of the spectacle stood the iconic 301-metre-tall Address Beach Resort, a key partner of Skydive Dubai, where athletes achieved the first-ever wingsuit flight through the landmark’s famous 25-metre gap.

Soaring at speeds of up to 240 km/h, the athletes leapt from an aircraft at 5,000 feet, creating a three-way wingsuit formation. Against the architectural splendour, the team left vibrant trails of red, black, and green smoke, symbolising the UAE flag and adding a splash of patriotism to the JBR coastline.

Mohammad Javad, Executive Vice President Leisure & Entertainment at Shamal said: “This aerial display is our way of celebrating the union of our nation. The one-of-a-kind performance pushed boundaries, further solidifying Dubai’s reputation as the city where anything is possible. The athletes showcased exceptional skill and precision as they soared through Dubai’s iconic skyline. With no margin for error, every move was meticulously calculated to navigate the 25-metre gap, and seamless radio coordination ensured flawless execution. This level of expertise underscores Skydive Dubai’s position as the ultimate training ground for wingsuit and skydiving professionals. Known globally for its world-class instructors, cutting-edge facilities, and unparalleled safety measures, it continues to lead in advancing adventure sports and pushing human potential to new heights.

Address Beach Resort, already a marvel of design, became an aerial playground for the athletes, who trained for months to perfect their trajectory and coordination.
