Extreme but beautiful destinations you can only find in Dubai
Exploring Dubai as a daredevil
Dubai is an excellent destination for those looking to spice up their next holiday with a bit of excitement. Please take a look at these extreme travel activities and the beauty that they show off so well.
Skiing in 105°F Weather
No, we're not talking about sand skiing, but Dubai does offer that if you're interested…
Ski Dubai has built an indoor ski area of 22,500 square meters, with lifts and tube paths, in the Massive Mall of The Emirates.
Skiing indoors is an odd concept for most people. Snowboards and towering mountains are always linked, but who wouldn't want to try indoor skiing as an indoor experience.
Indoor skiing has to be one of Dubai's most unique activities. You may even compete on the ice with your pals or race down a subzero double zipline. If that isn't enough, go up to a Penguin and have a close and personal meeting.
Eat your money
Everywhere you look, the wealth of Dubai is apparent. Even on ice cream, gold is rampant. At the Scoopi Cafe, one of Dubai's unique restaurants, you'll find the city's most pricey ice cream dessert at around USD 800 each.
The dessert is a sundae made with Madagascar-based vanilla bean ice cream, Iranian saffron, rare Italian black truffles, and a powdered gold flake of 23 carats. The Black Diamond may be a golden delicacy to savor, so why not take a look at some of the other luxurious sweet treats the shop had to offer while you ponder investing in this delicacy.
Camel racing?
In a country full of sand, there's no surprise that these camels have something to do with Dubai's rise to fame.
Whether you're a lover of sport, a lover of watching robot jockeys riding around on oddly shaped horses, or simply interested in watching a game of camel polo, this activity has plenty of excitement for you to take part in and enjoy. Luckily enough, you can also ride your personal camel. Spending your day riding a camel guarantees some funny stories to tell later on.
Flyboarding
This next activity for extreme excitement requires you to have some good hand-eye coordination. If you're a fan of extreme watersports, this one's for you.
Fly high above the water on a board connected to the boat using a long hose only and feel the adrenaline rush through your body while you soar high.
Defy gravity
If flyboarding isn't your cup of tea, you can also try indoor skydiving. This one is for those wanting to try something new and extreme without jumping from an indane height.
iFly Dubai is the world's first double vertical wind tunnel in the world. Are you worried about your fear of heights? Don't worry; you'll only be a few feet off the ground while giving it a go. Your adrenaline levels, on the other hand...
Dune riding
Dubai is a city known for doing things over the top. That is what makes this destination so perfect for thrill-seekers.
You want the tallest building in the world? Dubai has it. 7-star hotel? Dubai has it. The giant artificial archipelago of islands in the shape of a palm tree? Dubai has it!
While staying there, you will be surrounded by miles of sandy desert, with the Arabian Desert right next door. Ride in air-conditioned comfort through the dune as you search for Aladdin's treasure. This one is not for the faint-hearted, that's for sure!
Live out your F1 dreams
Become an F1 driver for a day and speed around a track with other supercars at Dream Racing. Not only will you get to experience driving in a car worth more than your house, but you'll also be able to reach top speeds that no road or car in America would allow you ever to experience.
A must for the adults of your holiday group!
Extreme pampering
Is regular water too below you? Why not switch things up and take a nice long soak in a goat's milk bath? The Talise Ottoman Spa offers luxury soaks in their specialty goat's milk baths. Not only will you leave feeling smoother than a baby's bottom, but you'll also feel so refreshed and ready to take on any extreme activity thrown your way.
If it was good enough for Cleopatra, it is certainly good enough for you!
Waterparks
Another fun water activity, this one is for the whole family. Despite being a desert city, Dubai has plenty of water activities for you to try.
You can spend a whole day in the pool at any one of Dubai's large waterparks. From giant slides to big swimming pools, these parks are guaranteed to offer some serious fun for the whole family. Remember the sunscreen because once you leave the water, you'll be reminded of the unforgiving sun Dubai sees all year round.
Time to chill out
Saying that Dubai is a warm country is a major understatement! Temperatures in this luxurious city can reach 105 °F (and that's just the average).
If you've had enough of the scorching sun, why did you come to Dubai? We're only kidding. Why not try out the Chillout Lounge for a bit of a cool down? This marvel of a structure is built entirely from ice with an ambient temperature of 42 °F.
Be prepared for a bit of a temperature shock as you enter, as the temperature will drop by at least 60°F. You'll receive warm clothes and hot soup, and various desserts to keep you happy and warm as you look around.
Dubai has an extreme activity for everyone, so why not take a look at booking your next family vacation there. Break up the excitement with a lovely relaxing beach day or some shopping in one of the many malls. Dubai is a daredevil's dream destination.
