DEWA and Emaar sign MoU to provide exclusive discounts for customers on DEWA Store
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emaar Properties to provide DEWA’s customers with exclusive discounts through DEWA Store on its smart app. This is part of DEWA’s efforts to provide value-added smart services to enhance customer happiness. Customers will get up to 50% discount on tickets to a number of entertainment venues including KidZania, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, and VR Park in The Dubai Mall, among others. The MoU was signed by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Jamal Majid Bin Theniyah, Vice- Chairman of Emaar Properties.
“DEWA's role is not just limited to providing electricity and water services according to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and reliability, but we also contribute to the happiness of customers and society as a whole. This supports the Dubai Plan 2021 to make Dubai the preferred place to live, work, and visit. We are committed to launching innovative initiatives to provide value-added services to our customers that make their lives easier and contribute to transforming Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world,” said Al Tayer.
“We are pleased to have Emaar, which is one of the leading companies, join the list of organisations that provide exclusive discounts and offers to our customers through DEWA Store, which we launched as part of our efforts to be a fruitful part of society. The collaboration with Emaar builds on our strategic partnership and shared vision to provide innovative services for customers, in line with the vision and directives of our wise leadership to improve government services to ensure society happiness,” added Al Tayer.
“Our partnership with DEWA builds on the spirit of partnerships that drive the continued growth and prosperity of Dubai and the UAE. Through this collaboration in the digital realm, DEWA’s customers can gain added value for accessing various entertainment attractions under Emaar. With the focus of Dubai to be a smart, connected city that adds to the happiness and well-being of its residents, through the MoU, more residents in Dubai can enjoy the leisure facilities of Emaar and add to their quality of life,” said Jamal Majid Bin Theniyah, Vice- Chairman of Emaar Properties.
DEWA has developed DEWA Store after feedback and surveys from its customers, partners, and society members, about its services. This includes brainstorming sessions for relevant stakeholders, to learn their views and suggestions about the value-added services that DEWA can provide to make them happier. DEWA Store also encourages customers to use its smart app, which supports major platforms such as iOS and Android. Customers can access DEWA’s services anytime, anywhere, without the need to visit the customer centres.
