In all categories, online ordering and delivery is preferred as it is convenient, it offers better prices and a more comprehensive selection, and it allows shoppers to do comparison-shopping and read reviews.
This growing shift in consumption habits has also affected the alcohol industry as more businesses are setting up alcohol delivery platforms. If you are looking for a better and more comfortable way to stock up your bar cart, read on for everything you need to know about alcohol delivery in Abu Dhabi.
1. A wide variety of alcohol products are available for delivery.
One of the most significant benefits of opting for alcohol delivery in Abu Dhabi is that you can take advantage of a wide selection of products. Champagne, wine, spirits, beer and cider are all available for you to order.
What’s more, alcohol delivery is much more convenient. When you choose to shop this way, you can purchase the beverages you want, when you want. You no longer have to worry about store opening times or lugging bottles home with you. This approach makes it a lot easier for you to always stay on top of keeping your bar cart well-stocked.
And, because you can do comparison shopping and read reviews of any beverages you are interested in, you are much more likely to order the drink that is best suited for both your taste buds and your budget.
2. Alcohol delivery is quality-controlled, safe and secure.
After placing your order, your goods will be delivered to you in a refrigerated truck or van. Prior to arrival, the delivery team will call you to confirm the delivery time and check your availability. Currently, alcohol products can only be delivered to a home address or serviced apartments and hotels. They cannot be delivered to your office address.
Once they arrive, you will be required to present your valid ID (e.g., Emirates ID alcohol license, UAE driving license, or passport) for validation. This is to ensure that you are over the age of 21, the legal age that you can place an order for alcoholic beverages in the UAE. Generally, the delivery team will also take a photo of your valid ID to confirm your order. For this reason, you must be available in person to receive your order, and no one else can collect it on your behalf.
Delivered items can not be returned; however, you have the option to inspect your order at the time of delivery to evaluate the condition. If you find the delivery to be unsatisfactory, you can refuse to accept it. In this scenario, a refund will be processed within 72 hours of receiving the stocks back in the warehouse. Items that are delivered in a damaged or faulty manner will be replaced on a case-to-case basis.
If items are missing from your order, it may be because they were out of stock. In the unlikely chance that this occurs, you will not be charged for the missing item, and your final invoice will only consist of the delivered items.
3. You can get same-day delivery.
When you opt to order your alcohol from liquor operator African + Eastern Direct, you can select the option of same-day delivery.As long as you place your order before 4 p.m., for an additional fee of AED20, you can receive your beverages the same day. Alternatively, regular orders placed before 12 noon will be delivered the next day (except for Fridays). Currently, African + Eastern Direct provides home deliveries 7 days a week, including Fridays.
Keep in mind that there is no minimum order value; however, all deliveries of orders below AED100 have a non-refundable, standard delivery charge fee of AED 20. This charge is set to cover the cost of delivering alcoholic beverages to your home in a high-quality manner.
