Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) today announced the launch of a co-sponsored Professional Diploma in Clinical Leadership and Innovation in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), a higher education academic and research institution in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC).
As part of DHCC’s commitment to the development of the healthcare sector and higher learning, the interdisciplinary specialist postgraduate Diploma offers dual accreditation with 60 Continuing Professional Development points and 30 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System credits by the National University of Ireland and RCSI.
The Diploma will be beneficial to senior management and healthcare professionals looking to progress to management roles. The nine-month programme, predominantly online, aims to increase clinical leadership capabilities, allowing participants to maximise their impact and influence in clinical settings. The collaboration includes a co-sponsored tuition fee of 40% for members of the DHCC Community, comprising 4,200+ healthcare professionals.
“Clinical leadership, patient safety, and risk management are amongst the many standards we expect in the DHCC Community. Programmes like the Diploma reiterates our standing on the importance of providing a platform for the members of our Community to continue to grow beyond their immediate fields, securing our commitment to quality in healthcare,” said Dr. Ramadan AlBlooshi, Chief Regulatory Office, DHCA.
“The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland has been developing leaders in healthcare for over 220 years and has been a long serving member of the DHCC community. We are very proud and committed in aligning our efforts with DHCA in strengthening and developing our DHCC community through healthcare specific education and training.” said Mr. Eunan Friel, Managing Director Healthcare Management at RCSI.
Applications are open to all healthcare professionals with primary degrees, ideally working in a clinical setting due to the emphasis of the curriculum.
