One of the world’s leading real estate advisors, Savills Middle East, has partnered with Emirates Polo Association and ADCB Bank for the ADCB Finals Cup and Savills Cup. The Emirates Polo Association Tournament 2020 took place at Melia Desert Palm Resort, Dubai, on Friday 17th January 2020.
The event supported the Equestrian Association for People of Determination, which uses therapeutic horse riding to help children with a variety of physical and developmental issues to develop their physical, cognitive and emotional abilities. In addition to showcasing the work of the Association during the event, Savills also worked with a local hearing-impaired artist to raise funds. Victor Sitali was engaged in live speed painting during the matches, and his stunning artwork was auctioned afterwards, raising valuable funds that will help more children to experience this holistic therapy.
With a strong focus on community and sustainability, Savills showcased prestigious London developments, including Battersea Power Station and Triptych Bankside. These developments share the same ethos as the real estate company and are committed to being actively involved in their communities, as well as supporting local initiatives, charities and community-related activities.
“We’re delighted to have partnered with the Emirates Polo Association and ADCB Bank to introduce the first Savills Cup Dubai. As a sport with a strong heritage, stemming back to both the British and the Persian Empires, we felt it was the perfect affiliation – enabling us to bring a little bit of Britain to the region, and to support the local community,” commented Stan Ennor-Glynn, Head of International Residential Sales Middle East, Savills. “We were particularly pleased to be able to highlight the good work of the Equestrian Association for People of Determination, and to be able to support them with much-needed funds.”
The event was part of a wider events programme from the International Division of Savills Middle East, developed to showcase the City of London to the MENA region. As part of this programme, the team has hosted high profile events across the UAE, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and will be culminating with an event in Kuwait in the coming weeks.
