HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has honoured the winners of Testahel Award. The event was held to coincide with the Happiness Week held by RTA for the seventh year on end. Awarding the winners is a gesture of recognition of the contribution of organisations and individuals to improving RTA customer services.
Attendees of the event, which was held in RTA Auditorium, included a host of CEOs, Directors and employees of RTA as well as representatives of winning companies.
“RTA has set the "People Happiness" within its strategic objectives in line with the National Agenda for Happiness and the Dubai Plan 2021. The authority also launched the strategy of happiness to be the first government agency in Dubai to launch a strategy of happiness. RTA was the first Dubai Government entity to launch the ‘Happiness Strategy’ and endorse People Happiness Charter to underscore RTA’s commitment to bringing happiness to people. RTA is always keen on boosting customer communication by providing them with valuable feedback whilst addressing their needs on various services and projects. It, therefore, adopts multiple channels for communicating with the public including a variety of electronic and smart channels,” said Al Tayer.
Winners
Al Tayer presented Testahel awards to the winning entities and individuals. Emirates Driving Institute won the supplier of driver training and licensing services award. Cars Vehicle Testing Centre won the best supplier of vehicle testing & licensing service award. Winners under this category are assessed by clients based on certain criteria including customers happiness, waiting time and the time taken to deliver the service.
Al Tayer awarded the winners in customers service and smart transformation. Licensing Agency won the best agency award in customers service. Planning and Business Development Department at the Public Transport Agency won the best service department award in customers service. The Intelligent Traffic Systems Department was the runner-up.
Facilities Department, at Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, won the best support customer service department award, and Drivers Training and Qualification Department at Licensing Agency finished second.
Ms Rana Farouq, from Licensing Agency, won the best service coordinator award, and Ms Sana Zayed from Public Transport Agency followed in second place.
The Parking Service from Parking Department at the Traffic and Roads Agency won the main service award, and the seasonal parking won the best service award in smart transformation.
The Booking & Dispatch Centre at Public Transport Agency won the Best Call Centre Award, and Customers Happiness Centre at Umm Al Ramool won the best customers happiness award amongst RTA centres. Al Manara Customers Happiness Centre won the best centre award in the joint centres category.
Saeed Al Muhairi won the best customers service supervisor award, and Aseel Bitar finished second.
Al Tayer also honoured winners of the annual Taxi Excellence Award for the best taxi companies and top drivers. Arabia Taxi won the best taxi company award, and National Taxi won the most improving company award in delivering service.
The outstanding taxi drivers award went to 19 taxi drivers from the Dubai Taxi Corporation, 14 drivers from Arabian Taxi, 6 drivers from Cars Taxi, 6 drivers from Metro Taxi and 5 drivers from National Taxi. Mohammed Waseem from Metro Taxi won the new driver award.
Al Tayer honoured the winners of the best feasible suggestions award namely: Khalifa Sultan Al-Falasi, Mohammed Mashhour, Emad Mohammed, Alaa Bashandi, Ahmad Al-Sammak and Salah Mubarak. He also honoured 31 winners of Madinaty initiative.
