Dubai Customs won the "CIO in Government" award at the Catalysts Awards, sponsored by the GEC Media Group and organised by Enterprise Channels MEA in Dubai recently.
Held in conjunction with The Future IT Summit, the Catalysts Awards, in its 5th edition, recognised the top CIOs/IT Heads in various verticals, sales and marketing leaders and well as the emerging marketers.
The Service Innovation Department at Dubai Customs received the award under the CIO in Government category in the presence of officials from 300 IT companies from around the globe.
The summit was an ideal platform for innovators, experts and consultants to meet and share their insight, experience, and knowledge, and future perspectives.
Hussam Juma, Director of Service Innovation Department, expressed his happiness at receiving the award and said it was a reflection of the commitment of Dubai Customs towards service innovation.
"We work hard to make our services as innovative as possible because with innovation comes convenience and simplicity. Thanks to this, we hit a record in client happiness at 97.5 percent on the happiness meter, which again reflects our vision of turning Dubai Customs into an innovative workplace and helping Dubai with its big expectations of becoming the happiest and smartest city on earth."
The event also witnessed the award for Top 10 Best IT Companies to Work for in 2019. This award honoured the companies that have demonstrated extraordinary leadership with a proven track record of growth, profitability and essentially employee happiness. The event also extended opportunities for companies to network with the industry leaders and government officials.
