A vibrant canvas of colour, culture and futurism awaits visitors to the Republic of Korea Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, symbolising the nation’s attempts to steer humanity towards a brighter tomorrow.
Capturing Korean art, style and pop culture in one place, rotating cubes will create continuously changing images on the exterior of the pavilion, located in the Mobility District.
The five-storey design interprets the concept of ‘a group dancing with excitement’ and seeks to embody Korean dynamism across a floor area of more than 5,200sqm.
The open interior will feature a spiral-shaped exhibition space, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of the Expo 2020 site. Under the theme ‘Smart Korea, Moving the World to You’, the Asian nation renowned for its tech prowess intends to host events to capitalise on the ever-increasing global popularity of its cinema, television and music.
Korea will also highlight its status as a world-leader in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, through cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence, virtual reality and the Internet of Things.
To date, 190 nations have confirmed their participation in Expo 2020 Dubai. Organisers expect to record 25 million visits between 20 October, 2020 and 10 April, 2021.
