Dubai Land Department (DLD) received Singaporean delegation headed by Lim Sim Seng, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Singapore Land Authority (SLA), in the presence of the Singaporean Ambassador to the UAE. DLD briefed the delegation on its experience in developing smart applications that is used in land registration processes, and the various services provided by DLD to its customers globally.
HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, gave an overview on the stages of digital transformation, which is an ongoing part of the process of developing the work methods at DLD, stressing that the real estate registration in Dubai currently occupies seventh place with work underway to become first.
The visiting delegation was impressed with the explanations provided by DLD's officials, especially regarding the pioneering real estate experience it achieved within a short period of time. DLD also impressed with its relentless efforts to develop a highly advanced smart, electronic infrastructure that provides various real estate solutions to meet customer needs, especially by employing blockchain technology and Geographic Information System (GIS).
Khalifa Alzeraim, CEO of Emirates Real Estate Solutions (ERES), the technical arm of DLD, stressed the importance of these visits, which are part of the dissemination of knowledge and exchange of experiences with institutions in brotherly and friendly countries. DLD, through its accomplishments, has become a destination for international delegations to learn about its experience and benefit from its expertise.
