HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) honoured the second batch of ‘Tamkeen with RTA’ graduates comprising 25 Emirati university graduates (23 females and 2 males).
The six-months programme was part of RTA’s initiatives for the ‘Year of Giving’ announced by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. It enabled several graduates to obtain a career in RTA following the completion of the theoretical and practical training.
“Tamkeen with RTA is part of the ‘Year of Giving’ initiative deliverables. Out of its social responsibility, RTA has designed this programme to train Emiratis who have not found jobs for about a year since graduation. It trains them on the best professional and administrative practices to groom them for the job market. It instils in them skills that help them assume jobs befitting their academic qualifications. It reflects RTA’s commitment to play an active role on the Emiratisation of jobs and providing competent talents,” said Al Tayer.
“RTA is keen on training university graduates to enhance their career prospects; which is in line with its responsibility of building and development. Under its strategic goals, RTA is seeking to be the first career destination for qualified human resources; which requires enhanced competitive ability to attract highly professional personnel,” he added.
“The programme aims to groom trainees through a series of specialized workshops in behavioural and administrative skills. It also offers them on-job-training in various sectors and agencies of the RTA to offer them exposure to practical experience,” concluded Al Tayer.
