HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has received HE Dr. Bernard Elio, President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The meeting took place in the presence of Captain Aysha Al Hamli, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the ICAO.
The meeting reviewed the trials conducted by the RTA on the Autonomous Aerial Vehicle as well as the operational requirements such as laws and legislation governing the operation of Autonomous Aerial Vehicle. Discussions also covered air corridors, designing and locating the take-off & landing points and the safety of the Autonomous Aerial Vehicle.
