The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in partnership with Thumbay Group’s “Health Magazine” announced the launch of the 3rdedition of the “Annual Health Awards”.
The Annual Health Awards, which is one of the region’s most comprehensive awards in the healthcare sector, aims to celebrate outstanding contributions of individuals and companies, as well as innovations in the healthcare industry.
The DHA announced that Applications are now open for the third edition of the Annual Health Awards. Those interested in applying for the award can visit www.healthmagazine.ae. The winners will be announced during a star-studded award ceremony held in March 18, 2019 and will be attended by a number of local and international leaders, decision makers and specialists in the health field.
Dr Fatima Al Sharaf, Director of Corporate Performance Management and Acting Director of Quality and Excellence at the DHA said the Annual Health Awards have proven in the last two years to have a great impact in promoting excellence in the field of healthcare.
She said that the DHA added new categories to the award to meet the Dubai Vision 2021, such as the “Health Tourism” category, the “Most Determination-Friendly organisation” and the “Outstanding institution in social responsibility” categories, to name a few.
In the second edition of the awards held earlier this year, honoured 35 outstanding achievers and 17 trendsetters at the gala awards. The event brought together more than a thousand healthcare leaders and professionals from the UAE’s private and public sectors.
Al Sharaf added that the award is in line with DHA’s strategy in regards to enhancing the culture of creativity and innovation in the health sector, promoting the utilisation of smart solutions and technologies in the field as well as providing a platform for sharing experiences and success stories.
Since its inaugural edition, the Annual Health Awards has been a platform to publicise and promote significant achievements in the healthcare sector. The Annual Health Awards 2019 aims to inspire healthcare professionals and institutions to dream big and to embark upon great endeavours.
