DP World’s flagship, Jebel Ali Port, the 10th largest container port in the world, has been awarded The UAE Pioneers Award for its outstanding contribution to Dubai’s economy by enabling regional trade and setting new industry benchmarks with its innovative solutions and services.
The UAE Pioneers Award was established in 2014 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The award recognises iconic projects as well as exemplary Emiratis for their talents and initiatives. This year Jebel Ali Port was acknowledged as the pioneering initiative that put Dubai on the map of global trade.
The award was received by Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, who expressed his gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed DP World’s commitment to continue enabling trade through building one of the most efficient trade networks in the world with the use of groundbreaking technologies and solutions.
