A UAE Delegation Goes To St. Kitts & Nevis To Discuss Expo 2020 And Bilateral Relations
(7 May 2018)

A delegation of the UAE led by Her Excellency Reem Al-Hashimi, UAE Minister of State and Managing Director for the Dubai World Expo 2020 has visited seven Caribbean countries in four days to discuss bilateral relations and to promote the presence of the Caribbean islands in the Expo 2020. The visit coincides with the organization of the Caribbean Investment Summit 2018 in St. Kitts and Nevis, global pioneers in Citizenship by Investment programmes, between May 16th and 19th, 2018.

This annual event brings together the five Caribbean Citizenship by Investment jurisdictions and other key players to discuss relevant issues affecting the industry as well as explore opportunities for further growth.

David Regueiro, Managing Partner of Rif Trust, the citizenship by investment Dubai based company leader in the GCC, will be there as a key expert in the field and sponsoring the event. He says that "for Rif Trust it is an honour to be present at one of the most important events on CBI. Having the opportunity to tell our know-how and experience in an event of these characteristics means without a doubt that Rif Trust remains and continues to be one of the biggest references in the sector".

Rif Trust works very closely with the Consul of St Kitts and Nevis in Dubai, Mr. Justin Hawley, in order to enhance the relationship between the two countries and allow their citizens to travel without restrictions. Mimoun Assraoui, CEO of Rif Trust says that "St. Kitts and Nevis is a key country in the citizenship by investment field and we have seen the demand for second passport and permanent residency permits growing significantly in the last four years".

Bilateral relations between the Caribbean Island and the United Arab Emirates are further strengthen through the cooperation in areas of renewable energy development, climate change adaptation, tourism and infrastructure.
