Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced that the closing ceremony for the second edition of the Gulf Real Estate Awards will take place on 21st March 2018, when the winners for the programme’s 22 categories will be announced. DLD has confirmed that over 170 entries were submitted by companies operating across various real estate fields in the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
The Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the educational arm of DLD, is organising the Gulf Real Estate Awards in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to inspire industry professionals to achieve greater innovation and have a significant positive impact on the Gulf real estate market.
Mahmoud El Burai, CEO of DREI, said: “We are proud to organise the second edition of the Gulf Real Estate Awards, which is the most prestigious regional award to recognise and reward professional excellence in all areas of the region’s real estate sector. Although the awards programme is only in its second edition, we have received a record number of over 170 entries submitted by 69 companies in 22 categories from eight countries: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Kingdom of Bahrain and Kuwait, as well as countries outside the GCC including Egypt, the Maldives and India.”
El Burai noted that the second edition of the awards programme will encourage a spirit of competition across its various categories, especially in light of the large number of companies and institutions that are keen to highlight their success stories and achievements on the global stage.
The Gulf Real Estate Awards is a living example of DLD’s efforts to consolidate this culture as it promotes best practices among developers, brokers, facilities management, engineering and legal services providers, contractors, consultants, and other real estate professionals.
The programme aims to enhance a culture of competition among real estate companies and is in line with the country's pursuit of excellence, sustainability, innovation, happiness and competitiveness. The department has received entries from a wide number of companies involved in various real estate related activities, each of which is seeking to demonstrate excellence in their innovations in the real estate sector.
DLD closed entries on 18th December 2017 and announced the list of finalists on the 27th of the same month. The closing ceremony and awards winners will take place on 21st March 2018.
