Dubai Sports Council Announce "Intaleq" Training Program For Emirati Youth
(28 May 2019)
Program will offer career-training for Emirati school and university students

The Dubai Sports Council have announced the launch of "Intaleq" program, which will train and prepare Emirati youngsters for their professional career ahead.

The program is a part of Dubai Sports Council's efforts to empower members of the community and seeks to prepare the nation's youth to work in any sector of their choice by providing them with the necessary skills and expertise, and familiarising them with the functions of a workplace.

Registration for Intaleq 2019 is open now and interested students and youngsters, aged 16 to 23, can register until June 20 through Dubai Sports Council official website, dubaisc.ae.

Announcing the program, H.E. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, said: "Since its establishment, the Dubai Sports Council has placed great importance on preparing Emirati nationals for their professional careers ahead, to work not just in the sports sector, but any sector of their choosing.

"In the past, Dubai Sports Council has launched a number of important and pioneering programs for the development and empowerment of Emirati cadres, including the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Program for Sports Leadership Development to prepare Emirati sports leaders of tomorrow. We will continue to develop similar programs in the future as well."

Saleh Abdulla Al Marzooqi, Director of Dubai Sports Council's Corporate Support Department, added: "We have provided training to a number of young Emirati through similar programs in the past, and we are always working to add more programs that will guide and prepare our youth, and keep them future-ready.

"In the Intaleq 2019 program, we given students the option to train at different times of the year because we understand different students might have different obligations and circumstances might not allow him to attend a summer-specific career training program.

"The obligations of every student are different, depending on programs at school or university. He might be busy with a summer course at his university or school, for example. So we want to keep our program flexible and support students with different options. This year, we are also targeting schools and universities to join the programme.

"The program will provide students with the necessary skills and information to keep abreast of the latest developments in the different professional sectors in order to improve their skills and talents."
