Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, launched an initiative to distribute Ramadan supply packs and 6,000 iftar meals to its staff during the holy month of Ramadan.
The initiative is a part of Empower's efforts to achieve social cohesion and will be benefitted to the economically challenged staff throughout the Holy Month. Empower is committed to launch several charity initiatives and activities during the holy month of Ramadan, to contribute in supporting and enhancing the morale of its staff and spreading happiness among them.
The initiative coincides with the Year of Tolerance in the UAE, which was announced by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to make 2019 a year of tolerance and a year of charity and humanitarian achievements, projects, and initiatives.
“The initiative is primarily recognition for the efforts of our employees in all departments, and their role in providing the best services to our customers,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.
“The Ramadan Iftar Initiative is a part of Empower’s ongoing initiatives to appreciate staff and thank them for their continued contributions towards the success of Empower. The initiative also reflects the company’s commitment to establish the values of giving and inclusion among employees, which are strongly reflected during the holy month of Ramadan,” added Bin Shafar.
Meals are daily distributed to employees including security personnel, cleaners and others at Empower’s headquarters, staff accommodation, and plants. Employees have expressed their delight for this initiative, which truly reflects the senior management’s appreciation and its keenness to ensure happiness amongst employees throughout Ramadan.
Empower provides district cooling services to more than 1,090 buildings, catering to more than 100,000 customers. The company operates more than 1.43 Million Refrigeration Tons (RT), providing environmentally friendly district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Bluewaters, Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, International Media Production Zone and others.
