More feather in DXB’s cap: Dubai International (DXB), the world’s number one airport by international traffic, won two awards at the 12th edition of the Aviation Business Awards, at a ceremony in Dubai on Tuesday evening. DXB was declared Airport of the Year for its performance as a leading global passenger hub, accommodating growth while enhancing customer experience through innovation and collaborative effort with airlines and other airport service partners. Dubai Airports, together with Atkins, also won the Technology Innovation of the Year for their joint project on digital asset condition survey and cost modelling. Paul Griffiths (2nd from left), CEO of Dubai Airports, accompanied by Eugene Barry (far right), Executive Vice President of Commercial Group, and Anita Mehra, Senior Vice President of Communication & Reputation, received the award. Organised by ITP, the AVB Awards included 14 categories covering airline, airport and cargo sectors across the region, along with supporting segments.
