Panifico, a Dubai developed premium European sandwich shop and espresso bar has opened its new flagship outlet in DIFC’s brand new extension at Gate Village 11.
The popular local community concept, blending premium fast-casual lunches for the office crowd with cool coffee culture, has been a tremendous success since first opening its doors in the DIFC in 2014.
The new outlet, located on the podium level at Gate Village 11, replaces the old kiosk due to high guest demand and community pressure to remain open for the full year. This new flagship outlet is double the size of the old one and fully temperature controlled accommodating the increased guest demand comfortably. Featuring a high-ceiling stripped back industrial feel seamlessly merged with warm wooden tones and chocolate brown leather, the space not only feels focused on essentials but elegant and comfortable, with guests now able to enjoy a comfortable space all year-round with stunning views of Emirates Towers. During the more temperate months customers can also enjoy breakfast, lunch or a casual coffee under shaded external seating in the newly created piazza.
Created by Swiss born restauranteur Alex Clavel, Panifico has grown from a single outdoor kiosk in DIFC, first extending its presence to Media City in 2017 to now opening up what has become its flagship venue- continuing to service hungry professionals with fast, high quality grab-and-go lunch products at pocket friendly prices.
With experience in F&B spanning London, New York, Miami and Dubai, Alex believes in Panifico’s ability to be a Dubai born global brand. Core to its success is his firm belief that products can be both superior in quality and affordable. “We’re changing the definition of fast food. Our products are made in small batches throughout the day using only the highest quality ingredients available in the market. They are the same exact products and suppliers as our higher end, esteemed fine-dining neighbours in DIFC. We have found a way for our guest to get their food fast, ensuring the time spent away from the office isn’t on waiting, but is instead immediately enjoyable- without a single item priced over AED 39. And our secret? It’s our unrelenting focus on efficiency, not compromise. This is what gets us the high volume we need to counteract our lower margins and sustain our slow and steady growth. Panifico also takes its environmental responsibility seriously. Every single item is packaged in fully compostable packaging. As all of Panifico’s products are sold in some form of packaging, guests can always take comfort in the knowledge that there is not one item of packaging that is harmful for our environment. All of it will fully degrade into bio-organic matter within nine months of discarding.
All branches are open from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30am to 6pm.
