Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) continues to implement inventive solutions in line with its commitment to support the Smart Dubai initiatives.
DIFC marked its second participation at GITEX Technology Week by highlighting its digital initiatives such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Business Intelligence platform and Gateway, a state-of-the-art digital workplace for effective collaboration.
RPA is an integrated automation system that forms part of the Centre’s ongoing drive for digital transformation. This automation will enhance the administration system at the Centre and provide a seamless experience for its growing community of more than 2,003 companies and over 22,768 professionals.
To align with DIFC’s client centric strategy, RPA was recently introduced to improve the client experience, increase efficiency and reduce cost by automating administrative tasks across the Centre’s various services. It has been implemented in the Government Services Office covering processes related to visa, medical and emirates ID applications.
In recent years, the Centre has reinforced its commitment to the development of the financial services industry, with RPA being only the latest in a series of innovative solutions tailored by DIFC to benefit its growing and diverse community.
Another development includes Gateway, an intranet and multifunctional tool that enables and drives collaboration and communication, digitises operations and facilitates a smart enterprise document management system. This platform plays a role in DIFC’s digital revolution as it aims to become paperless in line with Dubai Paperless strategy.
Alya Al Zarouni, Executive Vice President of Operations, DIFC Authority, said, "At DIFC, we are constantly exploring new solutions to improve our community. With cutting-edge technologies, such as RPA, we continue to upgrade our system and infrastructure to deliver on our commitment to support digital transformation and the Smart Dubai 2021 strategy. Through RPA, DIFC has enabled a digital workforce which handles and processes requests 24/7, giving an efficient experience for our clients."
DIFC has also introduced Business Intelligence, a sophisticated business insights platform that enables the Centre’s community to extract strategic business insights, review real-time data and improve business efficiency.
