The third edition of the ‘Future Manufacturing and Trade Summit,’ will be held 8-9 October 2018 at Atlantis The Palm Dubai, to address Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) challenges.
Hosted by Dubai Exports, the export promotion agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai, and Expotrade Global, under the patronage of Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry, the Summit will bring together over 800 professionals from the Middle East to identify the latest trends and technologies transforming manufacturing in the region.
Held in line with the objectives of the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 to make Dubai an international hub for knowledge-based, innovation and sustainable Industrial activities, the event will shed light on the future of the industry, notably the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), and service innovations that will support future manufacturing.
Members of the Dubai Industrial Strategy committees and representatives of the Dubai Executive Council as well as local and global technology innovators at the local and global levels, will deliberate on key topics such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the use of robots in manufacturing at the Summit.
Overall, the Summit provides a platform for knowledge sharing on the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector, which plays an instrumental role in driving the economy of the region, as well as the challenges and opportunities brought forward by the transformation.
Representatives of more than 40 of the Fortune 500 companies from across the globe will address delegates at the Summit.
The first day of the conference will have subject matter experts participate in panel discussions on topics including Logistics 4.0, Delivering Digital Transformation to a Physical World, Investing in Operational Excellence and Reimaging the industry.
