The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Nice University Hospital.
The Mou was signed by HE Humaid Al Qutami, Director-General of the DHA and Charles Guepratte, Chief Executive Officer of Nice University Hospital in the presence of high level officials including Her Excellency Raja Rabia, the Consul General of France in Dubai and Mr. Guillaume Huart, Regional Counselor for Health – Middle East at Embassy of France.
The purpose of the MoU, which is applicable until mid-2021, is to establish a framework between the two parties to provide training programmes for UAE nationals based on the experience and knowledge of Nice University Hospital. The training will cover all medical fields and will be applicable for doctors, nurses and technicians. The training programmes will include short-term training sessions, fellowship training, master classes and workshops. The hospital is renowned for subspecialty training such as complicated surgeries, diabetes care and management, gastroenterology etc.
HE Al Qutami said, “The MoU is in line with the Authority’s commitment towards continuous medical education which is particularly important in the healthcare field to ensure we develop highly qualified medical professionals to serve our community. Nice University Hospital has an esteemed reputation in medical training and we are proud to collaborate with them to develop our national healthcare talent force.” Her Excellency Raja Rabia, the Consul General of France in Dubai said, “This MoU highlights the ties between the two countries especially in the field of healthcare, which is one of the priorities of the strategic partnership between France and the UAE. This is one of the many collaborative opportunities between the two countries to exchange knowledge and expertise and to contribute to the provision of high-quality healthcare.”
