The last weekend was very special for Jumbo Electronics and its shoppers. Apart from Jumbo’s ‘Shop and Win Gold’ promotion they teamed up with Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) organisers, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) to create a unique public display of the ‘World’s Largest Display of 250 kg of Gold’ in the shape of a DSF bag. This unique display of gold worth AED 35 million was open to all for viewing last weekend at the Jumbo store, Mall of the Emirates.
The idea was conceptualized by the Jumbo team and strategically planned and implemented along with DFRE and Emirates Gold Refinery.
Families with kids, young couples, groups of friends of all ages and nationalities gathered around this once in a lifetime display and took pictures and selfies and posted their experience on social media. Jumbo recorded very high footfalls at the store and hundreds of mentions on its social media platform last Friday.
Jumbo Electronics said it was very happy to host this amazing experience for Dubai, UAE and its people, in collaboration with DFRE and Emirates Gold, and is looking forward to creating similar experiences in the future. Jumbo is now further building up the excitement for the last week of DSF with some amazing deals and offers, especially on smartphones, wearables, and laptops.
The latest edition of DSF, which commenced on 26 December, runs until 28 January under the theme ‘Shop. Win Celebrate’.
