Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has organised the ‘Edha’at’ (Arabic for ‘Flashes’) event, to share success stories and innovative initiatives as part of the Knowledge Management’s initiatives, and promote and encourage innovation and continued development among DEWA’s employees. 18 success stories were shared by a number of creative and innovative employees of Distribution Power Division during the two-day event, which was attended by 170 of DP’s employees.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, stressed the importance of the event, and its role in providing a stimulating work environment, capable of enhancing operations and encouraging innovation and creativity.
“DEWA is committed to promoting innovation and creativity, and sharing success stories among our employees, as HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai once said, ‘To be creative is to add something new to life as opposed to being a passive part of it.
