The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted on Sunday a special ceremony at its head office to recognise member companies that have demonstrated outstanding export performance during the first four months of 2017.
The exclusive SME Exporter of the Month gathering honoured four companies that operate in the trade sector. Al Bahrain Jewellers LLC was recognised for achieving the highest export value, while Pulse India Foodstuff LLC accounted for the highest number of export markets. Taj Al Bahar General Trading LLC was honoured for issuing the highest number of Certificates of Origin, and Al Mostawrid Trading LLC was recognised as a startup company that reached the highest export value during a particular month.
During the ceremony, H.E. Hisham Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice-Chairman, Dubai Chamber, congratulated the companies and presented their representatives with a certificate of recognition and an SME Exporter of the Month trophy.
“We believe that recognising the hard work and effort demonstrated by top-performing companies goes a long way in motivating Dubai Chamber members and other businesses in the emirate that operate in the realm of trade,” said H.E. Al Shirawi.
He explained that the Exporter of the Month initiative helps the Chamber take the pulse of the trade sector, and learn more about effective and sustainable business practices which ultimately enhance the competitiveness of the private sector.
“We are confident that the awarded companies will continue to be role models and a source of inspiration for many other members of the Chamber, and we look forward to honouring many more companies in the coming months,” H.E. Al Shirawi added.
Representatives from the top-performing companies expressed their gratitude to Dubai Chamber for its support in encouraging healthy competition within the local business community, which ultimately benefits their companies.
