Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has inaugurated a model centre for government services at the Emirates Towers, Dubai. The ‘Services 1’ centre represents a one-stop for the public to acquire services from 14 government entities.

The ‘Services 1’ model centre promises a one stop comprehensive services experiences for the public, with a carefully designed open environment that amplifies positivity with IBM’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and robotics technologies integrated to elevate user experience and set the bar high for creating a rich experience.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed praised the level of services at the centre that acts as a pilot for future service centres for the public to acquire government services. ‘This model centre is only the start; a step with many steps to follow and an innovation that paves the way forward for the UAE to become No.1 worldwide in government services,’ said Sheikh Mohammed.

The model centre offers three distinct services packages to the public. The ‘Mabrook Ma Yaak’ (transliterated from Arabic and means ‘congratulations on your newly born’) package prepares all the official documents for newly born babies. Pilot testing for the service is currently underway at three hospitals in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The ‘Mabrook Ma Dabbart’ (transliterated from Arabic and means ‘congratulations on your marriage’) also prepares all the official documents for newly weds and opens door for those who want to submit applications for a housing loan. The ‘Employment’ services package allows small companies to complete all the government paperwork for registering their workers.

The model centre also acts as a gateway to more than 100 smart services from eight government entities through ‘SmartPass’ e-identification. Customers can also utilise robots to record audio-video suggestions on the spot.

Accompanying His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on the visit to ‘Services 1’ centre was Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi.
