Dubai Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened the Cityscape Global 2017 – the biggest annual real estate event – at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan toured the mega event and stopped at a number of pavilions showcasing the latest residential, tourism, and entertainment projects. More than 300 local and international real estate development companies are taking part in the 16th edition of Cityscape Global.
Participating developers at Cityscape Global include Emkaan, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Aldar Properties – Abu Dhabi, Dubai Holding, Dubai Properties, Meraas Holding, Nakheel, and Damac among others.
Sheikh Hamdan listened to briefings on new projects by real estate developers, highlighting the robustness of the real estate sector as a key economic driver. He also pointed out that the real estate sector in Dubai is attracting regional and international investors as the city is considered among the top global destinations in for real estate investment.
Another key project attracting attention is ‘District 2020,’ which is what the Expo 2020 site will turn into once the event is over in early 2021. It will boast world-class innovation, educational, cultural, and entertainment facilities, as well as a conference and exhibition centre developed by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Accompanying Sheikh Hamdan on his tour were Chairman of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee and President of Department of Civil Aviation Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum; Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Jumaa Al Maktoum; Nakheel Chairman Ali Rashid Lootah; Chairman and CEO at Meydan Group Saeed Humaid Al Tayer; Chairman of Dubai Holding and Meraas Holding Abdulla Ahmed Al Habbai; and CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre and Director General of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Helal Saeed Al Marri.
