Ports, Customs & Free Zones Corporation (PCFC) continued its active participation in Gitex Technology Week 2017 Under the theme “Innovation for a sustainable development”. The renowned exhibition kicked off on Sunday 7th October and will last until 12th October.
PCFC is showcasing new disruptive initiatives and smart innovations to the visitors of its stand S2-A21 and S3-A21 within Dubai Smart Government pavilion at Sheikh Saeed Hall, Dubai World Trade Center.
Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees, has introduced three new initiatives that will help save clients’ time and efforts. These include the Business Wallet which is a virtual card to replace existing physical card. Trakhees virtual card can be added to the clients' Apple and Android stock/standard Wallet apps.
Trakhees virtual card can be validated by Trakhees staff using standard QR Mobile app during inspection. This will result in significant cost saving and will help Trakhees in achieving the Dubai Vision of ‘Go Paperless’ by 2021.
Trakhees also launched Trakhees Business Opportunity which helps implement a responsive web-based (HTML5) statistical dashboard for existing and potential Trakhees clients where the client can identify and analyze business opportunities within Trakhees managed zones and areas.
On its part, Dubai Maritime City Authority launched four new innovations including the Maritime Connect. It is an informative, interactive and unifying platform for the maritime sector in Dubai through the concept of Maritime Virtual Cluster. The Platform provides all information, services, components and potentials of the maritime sector in Dubai, and enables effective communication between the components of the maritime cluster away from the barriers of time and place.
It also enhances the involvement of the world maritime cluster in maritime activities in Dubai. Another initiative is the Smart Maritime Weather – Smart Weather. It is an Informative responsive online portal that displays maritime specific weather information for the public.
