Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum received Chief of Staff of Pakistan Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the Zabeel Palace.
Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the meeting.
Sheikh Mohammed and General Bajwa discussed a range of issues regarding bilateral ties of friendship and co-operation between the two countries and its people. They also took stock of the latest regional developments.
While discussing the role of the Pakistani community in the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed praised its constructive and effective role in the development and building of the UAE. General Bajwa thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the charitable and humanitarian assistance provided by the UAE to the Pakistani people.
He also spoke of the development projects being undertaken by UAE entities under the directives of the UAE leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also lauded the progress witnessed by the UAE in urban, economic and demographic areas led by its prudent leadership and its balanced, moderate and open policy at regional and global levels.
Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Cabinet Affairs & the Future Mohammad Abdulla Al Gergawi, Minister of State for Foreign Affair Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Director General of Dubai Protocol Department Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Brigadier Talal Humaid Abdullah Belhoul and a number of senior officials attended the meeting.
