Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, and Chairman of Dubai Airports, Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) today announced the fourth edition of its Excellence Awards with new categories for Emiratization and People of Determination.
In response to the UAE Government’s mandate to unlock the potential of citizens and boost economic development, part of the country’s Vision 2021, the DHCA Excellence Awards 2020 will recognize progress made by Emiratis and companies who are driving Emiratization through ‘Best Supporting Entity for Emiratization Award’ and ‘Top Emirati Contributor Award’. This category encourages private sector companies in the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) free zone to increase contribution by Emiratis.
The second new category ‘People of Determination - Friendly Entity Award’ is dedicated to efforts by DHCC-based facilities that have made considerable progress towards integrating and empowering people of determination.
Dr. Ramadan AlBlooshi, Chief Regulatory Officer, DHCA, “For the fourth year in a row, we will reinforce our pursuit for excellence and innovation in healthcare. We have had 60 winners across various categories since we launched the awards in 2017. This year, we will celebrate the achievements of close to 20 partners. We are excited about opening new categories to support Emiratis, people of determination, and to continue to celebrate our partners’ contributions in the health sector.”
The 2020 edition will follow the same structure as the previous years with two broad categories - Excellence Awards and Recognition Awards. Under excellence, innovation in hospitals and clinics; quality compliance in outpatient clinics; and individual awards for distinguished nurses, physicians and allied healthcare professionals. Under recognition, awards for Emiratization and supporting people of determination.
Submissions will remain open until Saturday, March 7, 2020. Facilities within the DHCC free zone that have been operational for more than a year are eligible to apply via this link (https://dhcr.gov.ae/en/Pages/Excellence-Awards.aspx) Entries will be selected by an independent judging panel and winners will be announced at a ceremony in April 2020.
