A Lebanese businessman became a dollar millionaire while two others will be driving away a luxury vehicle when their winning ticket numbers were drawn in today’s Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions held at Concourse A in Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.
Mr. Antoine Labaki, a 45-year old Lebanese national from Beirut, bought his winning ticket number 3277 online in Series 279, and said after hearing the news: “Buying a ticket online to win $1 million has become a habit for me for the past 4 years, nonetheless, I was a little unsure when I received a phone call from Dubai Duty Free today. It was not until my details were read over the phone that I started to believe that I indeed become a millionaire. Thank you Dubai Duty Free, this win will go a long way in growing my business.”
A father of three and a regular participant in the Millennium Millionaire promotion, Mr Labaki owns a construction business and is the 11th Lebanese national to win US$1 million since its inception in 1999.
The draw was conducted by Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Ramesh Cidambi, C.O.O. and Teresita Dizon, Duty Manager.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw two more winners were announced in the Finest Surprise promotion, each one winning a luxury vehicle.
Ms. Judith Kriesten, a 51-year old German national based in Essen won a mythos black metallic Audi R8 in Series 1693 with ticket number 0556. Ms. Kiersten who works for German Post bought her winning ticket online and commented, “I am extremely happy to know that I won in Dubai Duty Free promotion after regularly buying tickets online in the past 3 years and whenever I travelled to Dubai. Thank you so much indeed!”
Lastly, Mr. Subbaiah Appanderanda, an Indian national based in Dubai, whose ticket number 705 in Series 344 made him the owner of a black BMW R 1200 GS motorbike.
