Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai announced the start of registration for the second edition of ‘Tamkeen with RTA’ Programme. This three-month training programme targets Emirati graduates who have not found jobs over a year since graduation with the aim of empowering and grooming them for the job market. The concept of the Programme is inspired by the underlying values of The Year of Giving (2017), and The Year of Zayed (2018).
“The 1st edition of the program was launched last year, 2017 in line with the Year of Giving, and the launch of the 2nd edition of the program marks the Year of Zayed, 2018. The Programme concurs with the approach of the RTA to embed the values of giving and good towards Emirati graduates; who are the future drivers of the UAE’s development,” said Mansour Al Falasi, Director of Human Resources and Development, RTA.
“The monthly pay for trainees has been raised to AED 5,000 to motivate and encourage them to join the Programme; which aims to qualify 45 Emirati graduates who haven’t got a job for one year since their graduation. It seeks to equip them with more skills and knowledge that help them to get job placements.
“Graduates are trained by a bunch of experienced RTA specialists who have donated their professional knowledge and time to train these youths on the work environment and creative, strategic thinking. Such exposure will make graduates better prepared for job interviews and search. It also assists them with the completion of job applications, work ethics, time management and emotional intelligence,” added Al Falasi.
“The initial edition of the Program has contributed to the posting of 20 graduates in jobs in or outside the RTA; which demonstrates the success of the Programme in achieving the intended objectives. We view this Programme as a crucial step for building the future of our sons and daughters through the RTA,” added the Director of Human Resources and Development, RTA.
