The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently unleashed an initiative for payment of fees at Customer Happiness Centres using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology of smartphones and devices. The initiative aims to delight customers and increase their satisfaction with RTA’s services.
Ahmed Ali Al Kaabi, Executive Director of Finance at RTA said, “RTA has introduced this payment channel to diversify payment methods, delight customers and increase their satisfaction with RTA’s services at customer service centres throughout Dubai.
“To make payments using the new method, customers need first to download the mPOS App from Google Play and enter their debit/credit cards details. Customers can then pay fees or fines by tapping their smartphones on the payment devices deployed at RTA’s customer happiness centres across Dubai. The system deducts the amount required from the card linked to the smartphone,” noted Al Kaabi.
"This initiative echoes Dubai's drive of becoming the smartest city in the world according to the government plan. We, at RTA, are keen to take a proactive approach in transforming government initiatives & plans into smart services to our customers happy and boost their satisfaction," added Al Kaabi.
He reiterated RTA’s commitment to adopt the latest technologies in various fields to provide the best services to the public from all community members.
