The Licensing Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, will offer about 250 licensing plates comprising 3, 4 and 5 digits in its forthcoming 53rd online auction. Plates on offer bear the Codes (H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, and T). Registration of bidders will start on Sunday, June 3rd. The bidding will commence at 08:00 am on June 10th, 2018 and continue for five days.
Sultan Al Marzouqi, Director of Vehicles, licensing, Licensing Agency, RTA, praised the wide public participation and the positive competition marking open and online auctions. “Such positive spirit underscores the importance of holding these auctions as a tool for bringing happiness & satisfaction of clients amongst number plate enthusiasts,” he noted.
“Online auctions are particularly appealing to a large segment of the community as they avail fans of eye-catching plates, and the liberty of selecting their fancied numbers in a hassle-free environment. Moreover, these sort of auctions contributes to enhancing the online services of the Vehicles Licensing Department under its annual plan for improving the quality and standard of processing public transactions,” commented Al Marzouqi.
“There are several channels for registration to the auction such as logging to RTA’s website (www.rta.ae) or visiting any of RTA’s customers’ happiness centres in Dubai to get assistance in completing the registration process. The potential bidder is required to pay a security deposit amounting to AED5,000 along with AED120 as participation fees before the start of the auction. The amount is payable by credit card or a cheque made to the order of the RTA. Security deposits shall be refunded to clients in the same payment method. To participate in the auction, the bidder is required to have a vehicle registered in Dubai or a driver license issued from the Emirate.
“A dedicated team at RTA’s Call Center has been furnished with all information related to the Auction, and stands ready to respond to any public inquiries relating to procedures of participation or payment through the toll-free number 8009090,” concluded Al Marzouqi.
