One lucky winner became instant dollar millionaire while three will be driving away luxury vehicles when their winning ticket numbers were drawn today, Tuesday, 9th January, in the first Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw for 2018 held at Concourse A West in Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.
Muhammad Akbar Khan, a Pakistani national from Islamabad became US$1 million dollar richer in Series 261 with ticket no. 1915. Mr. Khan who is uncontactable at the moment will surely be surprised of his new fortune.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, one car and two motorbike winners were also announced.
Mr. Tsubasa Mizogami, a Japanese national from Hanoi, Vietnam won the BMW i8 Crystal White Pearl car in Series 1674 with ticket no. 0549. While Ms. Clara Lasrado, an Indian national based in Dubai in Series 324 with ticket no. 0789 won a BMW motorbike S 1000 XR Ocean Blue.
Ms. Lasrado who bought her second ticket to Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise promotion on her way to India for holiday, said, “It was an unexpected call and I was really surprised. Big thank you Dubai Duty Free.”
The second motorbike winner is Mr. Dmitri, a Russian national from St. Peterburg in Series 325 with ticket no. 0157 winning a BMW R 1200 RS Frozen Bronze Black.
In addition to these draws, a presentation to a previous Millennium Millionaire winner, Mr. Suleyman Cem Gunal, also took place at the airport.
Mr. Gunal, a Turikish national from Istanbul won in Series 260 with ticket no. 3447 during the retailer’s 34th anniversary on 20th December, said,” I am thrilled to finally receive my winning and I thank Dubai Duty Free for this wonderful gift.”
