“The workshop focused on exploring views & suggestions of developers related to the services provided by the Right-of-Way Department at the RTA, and briefed attendees on procedures of applying for the service along with the improvements made on the NOCs system. Such efforts are intended to respond to the growing needs for more infrastructural projects, and the undergoing urban upswing seen by Dubai,” said Engineer Maitha bin Adai, CEO of RTA’s Traffic & Roads Agency.
“RTA is always keen to deliver best-in-class services to customers with high quality standards and up to the required speed. It continuously reviews and benchmarks procedures and standards of delivering services to customers with a view to improving them and reducing the time taken to process transactions at top global practices,” stated Maitha.
During the workshop, a visual presentation was made by the Director of Right-of-Way in which he elaborated the tasks of the Services Coordination Committee and highlighted its effective role in slashing the time taken to process NOCs. He also gave a recap of the historical phases of the system launched in 2002 till date. The presentation also touched on the key challenges whilst issuing NOCs, and RTA’s relentless efforts to overcome them.
The workshop then engaged in discussions to heed to the views, comments and suggestions from the attendees. Following the discussion, RTA adopted a number of initiatives, which would effectively contribute in improving the quality of delivering NOCs services, and have a significant impact on increasing customers’ satisfaction rating.
