Dubai Land Department (DLD) was at the forefront of two great events hosted in India recently. DLD participated in the 8th Annual convention of National Association of Realtors-India (NAR-INDIA), which was held in the Indian capital New Delhi, in addition to the Investment Summit, which was organised in Bangalore, with both events attended by several Indian government ministers and managers from major international companies. DLD’s attendance formed part of its Dubai Global Initiative Real Estate Connect programme, which scored a huge success in this latest leg of its tour, which has so far included the cities of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and San Francisco, U.S.A.
The Dubai Global Initiative Real Estate Connect programme, a scheme from the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI) - the educational arm of DLD, aims to facilitate the exchange of property development experiences with cities across the world. Its goal is to educate and develop the capacity of workers in the real estate sector and create opportunities for joint collaboration.
Mahmoud El-Burai, the Executive Director of DREI said: "Through our participation in these two global events we are committed to engaging with senior real estate professionals, companies, investors, brokers and developers from around the world. Many of these have communicated their admiration for our work, and expressed interest in identifying Dubai investment opportunities, as well as many institutions and companies exploring prospects for cooperation.
During NAR-INDIA and the Investment Summit, DLD’s representatives focused on communicating with important parties in the real estate sector, including development and investment companies, and corporate decision-makers. This provided an opportunity to highlight the tremendous achievements and progress of the Emirati real estate sector, ensuring the deployment of real estate knowledge, investment prospects and real estate laws.
These meetings have contributed towards DLD building a solid foundation of networks with the most important leaders in the global real estate sector, and helped local companies to open new real estate markets in India, one of Dubai's most promising markets.
Amongst the results successfully achieved by DLD representatives are the spreading of real estate knowledge, and identification of best practices in the global real estate sector, as well as the opening of new markets for training courses in India. DLD’s delegation were also able to communicate with international real estate associations and prestigious institutions to define the role of DLD, which offers services and laws that contribute to market stability and ensure the rights of all players.
Dubai Global Initiative Real Estate Connect accepts applications to its programme from interested parties - including government agencies, real estate developers, real estate brokers and the Dubai Land Department leadership. From these applications, DREI will select a delegation to take part in the visit, in accordance with specific standards and criteria.
