The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has added new supplier services to 'RTA Corporate Services App' on smartphones.
The move is intended to make it easy for suppliers to track & manage their transactions in a handy online environment.
Saeed Al Marri, Director of RTA Contracts and Procurement, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, stressed RTA’s keenness to adopt the highest standards in streamlining the communication with suppliers through the Corporate Services App on mobile phones.
“The app offers a raft of services to all suppliers, and provides all information & procedures needed for registering & qualifying local and international firms. It also provides services to RTA’s existing 1,400 approved main suppliers (contractors, consultants and service providers), and enables them track their applications relating to registration & qualification of their companies for RTA’s projects. The app also avails them the opportunity to follow up the status of their payments & contracts, and receive notifications about their bills as well as due dates of their entitled payments,” elaborated Al Marri.
“The service of online qualification of suppliers is a step forward towards boosting RTA’s strategic vision aimed at developing creativity & innovation structures, considering it a key tool for leveraging the performance of any entity,” noted Al Marri. He highlighted the importance of promoting the concept of the smart government and providing every support towards offering exceptional services.
“The App is fitted with a smart search engine that enables companies retrieve their billing information using bill dates, bill entry dates, or contract numbers, besides browsing announcements regarding RTA’s future projects, thus enabling companies to make future bidding plans accordingly. The App is linked with other Dubai Government systems such as the Government Resources Planning Systems as well as other RTA approved contractual systems. The App is currently available free of charge on Android and Apple Stores under the name ‘RTA Corporate Services’. Suppliers can activate the access to "Suppliers Qualification" service to start receiving notifications,” explained Al Marri.
Al Marri stressed the importance of boosting the government’s role in advocating creative thinking and migrating to smarter government service models that are more responsive to customer needs. “This smart service is the first scheme of its kind aimed at establishing direct & interactive screens with suppliers, improving suppliers & partners’ relationships, and promoting the culture of quality & raising customers’ satisfaction rating,” concluded the Director of RTA’s Contracts and Procurement.
