RTA’s Public Transport Agency has recently held a broad meeting during which it honoured several taxi riders who were amongst the most frequent users of the Booking & Dispatch Centre services. The Centre, which operates 24/7, handles taxi-booking requests in a streamlined manner until the arrival of the cab and taking the customer to the intended destination in Dubai or other Emirates of the UAE.
“This time around, we were keen to make this gathering as open as possible to accommodate more public views and discuss a variety of ideas & suggestions for the betterment of booking & dispatch services,” said Abdullah Al Mahri, Director of Transport Activities Monitoring, RTA’s Public Transport Agency. “We are seeking to respond to the demands of taxi users and make them happier through offering them express, smooth and safe services. RTA is always keen to bring happiness to clients from all community segments, including users of the Booking & Dispatch Center services in Dubai amongst residents, visitor and tourists descending on the Emirate from all corners of the globe,” continued Al Mahri.
“This step is part of RTA’s third Strategic Goal (People Happiness) and is in line with the directives of the Dubai Government. Accordingly, Dubai has become one of the prominent cities of the region and the world that place a high emphasis on the happiness of residents, visitors and tourists,” he added.
