The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has won 12 awards in the international contest held by IdeasAmerica; an organisation focused on innovative aspects contributed by employees of both public and private sectors. The Public Transport Agency has clinched eight awards, and the Dubai Taxi Corporation has bagged four. A delegation from the RTA received the awards at an event held in Phoenix, State of Arizona, USA.
Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Public Transport Agency, RTA, expressed his delight with the eight awards won by the Agency. “This achievement is an endorsement of the improved performance of the Agency and its keenness to share employee’s creative ideas in the context of its efforts to realise RTA’s vision (Safe and Smooth Transport for All),” he said.
“The Public Transport Agency has won three gold awards, namely SEER Performance Excellence Award, SEER Saving Per Implemented Suggestion Award, and SEER Performance Excellence Employee Participation Award. In the silver category, the Agency has won the Voice Inspection System Award and SEER Performance Excellence Award. It also picked up three bronze prizes: SEER Performance Excellence for Suggestions Per 100 Employees Award, Executive Leadership of the Year Award, and Communication Excellence of the Year Award,” added the CEO of Public Transport Agency.
Dr Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) was delighted for DTC’s winning four awards. “This achievement is indicative of DTC’s commitment to adopting top corporate performance practices to leverage the improvement & innovation drive through involving employees. Two of the four awards were in the bronze category; the first was Performance Excellence for Suggestions Per 100 Employees Award, and the second was SEER Performance Excellence for Employee Participation Award. The other two honorary awards were won in the categories of SEER Performance Excellence for Savings Per Eligible Employee Award, and SEER Performance Excellence for Savings Per Implemented Suggestion Award.
